Problem Note 66189: SAS® Deployment Manager fails to start after you use a stand-alone installer for SAS® Enterprise Guide® or SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office

SAS Deployment Manager does not start if you use the stand-alone (independent) installer for the following clients, and a previous version of the client also had used the stand-alone installer:
- SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.1
- SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.2
- SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office 8.1
- SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office 8.2
When this problem happens, the following error occurs:
SEVERE: Order not found: standalone
The error is seen in the SDM_yyyy-mm-dd-hh.mm.ss.log file in the following location:
C:\Users\user-ID\AppData\Local\SAS\SASDeploymentWizard\
Use the following workaround for this issue:
- Remove both the installation of the clients and the SASHOME folder.
- Re-install the 8.1 or 8.2 client.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.
